Volunteers help by serving meals to the beneficiaries of this program at TUA’s headquarters. Volunteers serve between 350-400 meals every day throughout the week.
ABOUT THE PROGRAMS
Tkiyet Um Ali seeks to involve all members of society, of different groups, in supporting families facing poverty throughout the Kingdom. Therefore, TUA provides ample opportunities for volunteering through their programs, thus contributing to maintaining their continuity and reaching as many underprivileged families as possible.
Today, with their number reaching 40,886, TUA volunteers are a key factor in the success of its day-to-day operations.
WAYFARER PROGRAM (SERVING HOT MEALS)
FOOD PARCEL PACKAGING PROGRAM
Volunteers package food parcels at TUA’s warehouses, which allows them to better understand the magnitude of operations inside the warehouses and find out what items are placed inside the packages and their quantities, depending on the type of parcel.
FOOD PARCEL DISTRIBUTION PROGRAM
Volunteers participate in distributing food parcels to partner associations and endorsed families across the Kingdom. The volunteer will have the opportunity to witness the poorest areas of the Kingdom and be introduced to the distribution mechanism adopted by Tkiyet Um Ali.
MAWA’ED AL-RAHMAN PROGRAM
During the holy days of Ramadan, volunteers support the Tkiyet Um Ali team to provide more than 2000 Iftar meals to the fasting people at the Mawa’ed Al-Rahman tent at the TUA’s headquarters.
FIELD VISITS PROGRAM
The Field Visits Program provides volunteers with the opportunity to experience the case studies of families who have applied for assistance in all governorates of the Kingdom in cooperation with the TUA Social Research Section. During this experience, the volunteer will also learn about the terms and conditions of endorsing families by TUA.
GARDEN PLANTING PROGRAM
Stemming from its belief in community responsibility, Tkiyet Um Ali volunteers contribute to the planting of trees as part of the Garden Planting Program, to improve the aesthetics of the area where the program is held. The volunteers are provided with the accouterments of the program after coordinating with the staff of Tkiyet Um Ali.
Volunteers join the children of Tkiyet Um Ali families to create small handicrafts to help them unleash their creativity and encourage them to find new, innovative ideas for creative products. The volunteers are provided with the accouterments of the program after coordinating with the staff of Tkiyet Um Ali.
HOME RENOVATION PROGRAM
Volunteers bring happiness to the families of Tkiyet Um Ali by improving their living space as part of the Home Renovation Program. The volunteers also donate the renovation accouterments after coordinating with the staff of Tkiyet Um Ali.
Volunteers have the opportunity to interact with the children of Tkiyet Um Ali’s families and help them by telling stories to them. Volunteers provide stories and gifts for children after coordinating with the staff of Tkiyet Um Ali.
TEACHING CHILDREN TO DRAW PROGRAM
The volunteers contribute to the skills development of the children Tkiyet Um Ali families by teaching them to draw and encouraging them to unleash the creativity within them. Volunteers provide drawing accouterments and gifts for children after coordinating with the staff of Tkiyet Um Ali.
VISITING SENIOR BENEFICIARIES PROGRAM
The volunteers visit the senior beneficiaries of Tkiyet Um Ali in their homes, spend time with them and listen to their stories, to bring joy to their hearts. Volunteers provide gifts for the elderly after coordinating with the staff of Tkiyet Um Ali.
SHOUF BI AINAK PROGRAM
The employees of Tkiyet Um Ali take the volunteers on a tour of the TUA warehouses, where they are briefed on all stages of the operations, from the stage of the endorsement of the families, to packing the parcels and distributing them to the families.
