On International Volunteer Day, Tkiyet Um Ali Holds a Webinar Entitled " the COVID-19 Pandemic and its Effects on Volunteering Work"
Under the patronage of the Minister of Youth, H.E Mohammad Nabulsi, a Webinar was held by Tkiyet Um Ali under the title “The COVID-19 Pandemic and its Effects on Volunteering Work”, the Webinar was held in cooperation with Naua Initiative, an initiative of the Crown Prince Foundation (CPF), and INJAZ, with the participation of over 100 volunteering pioneers in Jordan. On behalf of the Ministry of Youth Secretary General, Dr. Hussein Al-Jbour attended the Webinar with participations from the CEO of Naua Initiative, Ahmed Al-Zoubi, and the Director of the Northern Region of the INJAZ Ms. Huda Obaidat had also participated in the Webinar.
During the webinar, Dr. Al-Jbour shed light on the efforts that are being made by the participating institutions to promote volunteering work in Jordan and the approaches that should be taken during the pandemic highlighting the need for an umbrella for volunteering work in Jordan.
"Tkiyet Um Ali believes in the importance of volunteering and the development of its concept, highlighting its positive impact on the local community and the volunteer himself.” " said Samer Balkar, Tkiyet Um Ali’s Director General. “We should build on the existing endeavors making advantage of the existing shared data of the volunteering institutions highlighting the partnership between these institutions to have a quality volunteering work”. He added.
